On August 26, 2022, ILEA Bangkok, and the United States Secret Service (USSS) concluded a one-week Computer and Network Intrusion Course (CNIC). 25 law enforcement participants attended the course, collected, and analyzed various types of evidence from a computer. Additionally, participants learned useful tools and techniques on how to collect and analyze volatile and semi-volatile evidence. The training consisted of classroom lectures that were augmented by hands-on activities. The knowledge shared with the participants can be applied to a variety of cyber-crimes and is useful for examining both victim and suspect computers. Furthermore, participants learned how to identify electronic crimes, computer fraud, and telecommunications fraud involving current international schemes. Lastly, the participants learned the current technology, tools, and equipment that are available for law enforcement to use to detect computer crimes.
