The International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) Bangkok and the United States Secret Service (USSS) recently wrapped up a one-week Digital Evidence for Judges and Prosecutors: Session 2 training course on March 15, 2023. The program brought together 46 appellate judges and prosecutors from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam.
The training course was tailored to help participants understand the use of technology in criminal cases involving digital evidence from computers, mobile devices, the cloud, and other sources. It consisted of a mix of lectures and practical exercises designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills. Through the training, the participants gained a deeper insight into digital evidence, which they can apply in their professional roles as judges and prosecutors.
