On September 1, 2022, ILEA Program Director Andrew Cunney and ILEA Executive Director Police Major General Kasemsunti Yoosooksomboon welcomed Police Lieutenant General Sarayut Sa-nguanphokai, Commissioner of Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) of the Royal Thai Police; and Mr. John P. Scott, Regional Director of U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to the Inter-agency Law Enforcement Cooperation Reception at ILEA Bangkok.
The reception was held to forge a long-lasting law enforcement relationship between NSB, DEA, and ILEA, which dates back to the initial concept of ILEA Bangkok establishment as a joint project between Thailand and the United States. This event also allowed NSB officers who are ILEA alumni from our training programs to meet up and share their experiences from their duties with other officials. During the event, Mr. John P. Scott highlighted close partnership and cooperation in drug investigations and introduced Mr. Mark A. Snyder, DEA Assistant Regional Director, and Mr. Nicholas J. Wills, DEA Bangkok Country Attaché. ILEA Bangkok was also grateful to have Police Colonel Endon Nurcahyo, Police Attaché from the embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bangkok as our distinguished guest.
