Royal Thai Police, Special Branch Pol.Col. Chaiyapun Nugoolgit coordinated the site security planning for the Convention Center at the Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting at the APEC 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand. He directly supported the US Secret Service advance teams planning for the visit of the US Trade Representatives to the APEC 2022. Pol.Col. Chaiyapun is a 4-time ILEA Bangkok Alumni, who previously attended the US Secret Service’s Major Events Security Coordination Course and Advance Protective Detail Briefing as well as Diplomatic Security Service’s Personnel and Facility Security Course and Oversea Protective Operations.

Additional to the assignment above, Pol.Col. Chaiyapun also acted as site security coordinator at APEC Economic Leaders’ week, held on November 14-19, 2022. His work focused on the security of meeting room and bilateral room for leaders.

Besides his APEC 2022 assignment, Pol. Col. Chaiyapun and his teamwork with the RSO Office at the US Embassy securing the US Embassy, US Ambassador’s Residence and the US Ambassador’s Protective Detail.
