On January 19, 2021, ILEA Bangkok hosted a meeting between the U.S. Department of State’s Export Control and Border Security (EXBS) Regional Program Advisor, the Royal Thai Border Patrol Police, and the Royal Thai Police Education Bureau. The purpose of the meeting was to find areas in which the agencies and programs can complement each’s mission and increase training and border security posture in the region.
The meeting was attended by Police Major General Sal Poolsiri, Deputy Commissioner of the Police Education Bureau; Police Major General Kasemsunti Yoosooksomboon, ILEA Executive Director; Mr. Andrew B. Cunney, ILEA Program Director; Dr. Dawn Verdugo, the U.S. Department of State’s Export Control and Border Security Regional Program Advisor; Police Major General Kanchon Intararam, Commander of Support Staff Division, Border Patrol Police (BPP); Police Colonel Worapat Boonma, Deputy Commander of General Staff Division, BPP; Police Lieutenant Colonel Ronnakorn Rewsawai, Deputy Superintendent of General Staff Division 3, BPP; and Ms. Anuratchanee Kasemsri, Program Coordinator.
