ILEA Bangkok Supports the 2019 National Anti-Trafficking in Persons Day

On June 5, 2019, a representative from the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA), Bangkok attended the 2019 annual National Anti-Trafficking in Persons Day, sponsored by the Government of Thailand’s Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, that was held at the Vayupak Convention Center. 

This year’s theme is "The Public-Private Cooperation for Anti-Trafficking in Persons". Key activities included opening remarks by the Prime Minister of Thailand, Prayut Chan-ocha, the awards ceremony for outstanding anti-trafficking in persons personnel and agencies, and the award ceremony for the winners of short film and animation competition.  

Invitees included senior and provincial officials, participants from private sector, academic staff, international agencies, and foreign Embassies. Deputy Program Director, Tamiko Francis attended the event to help represent the US Embassy Bangkok.
