On June 9, 2023, the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) Bangkok and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) concluded Small Arms Trafficking: Session 6, a five-day training program held in Bangkok. The course equipped 36 participants from Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Timor-Leste with advanced investigative techniques to combat firearms trafficking. The curriculum covered firearms identification, tracing, counterfeit firearms, 3D printing, social media exploitation, internet investigation, operational security, planning, and interview techniques. The program combined lectures by ATF instructors with practical exercises, enhancing participants' capacity to detect and apprehend firearms traffickers and address violent crimes. The training fostered collaboration and the establishment of professional networks among the attendees.
