On July 19 -21, 2022, 47 participants from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Timor-Leste attended the Trafficking in Persons specialized three-day virtual course. The course objectives were aimed at building the capacity of law enforcement professionals throughout Southeast Asia, to increase the monitoring and combat of trafficking in persons. The training included the latest policy guidelines and legislative developments concerning trafficking in persons. Additionally, training focused on victim identification techniques, best practices on how to work with a victim as well as how to get a conviction of the trafficker.
