The International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) jointly hosted Session 3 of the Trafficking in Persons training program, which took place from November 27 to December 1, 2023. This specialized course was designed to enhance the capabilities of 44 law enforcement officials in monitoring and combating trafficking in persons. The course curriculum included a comprehensive range of topics aimed at equipping participants with the latest knowledge and skills essential for addressing human trafficking effectively. Key components of the training included: Policy Guidelines and Legislative Developments, Victim Identification Techniques, Best Practices for Victim Assistance, Conviction Strategies for Traffickers. By bringing together law enforcement officials from different regions and backgrounds, this training program aimed to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing in the global fight against human trafficking. It contributed to building a more capable and informed international community of professionals dedicated to combatting this heinous crime.
