Pol. Maj. Gen. Pornpitak Ruyuenyong-Alumnus of Narcotics Unit Commanders Course, 2003 and Tactical Safety and Planning, 2009

Pol. Maj. Gen. Pornpitak Ruyuenyong, an ILEA-Bangkok alumnus who attended Narcotics Unit Commanders Course (NUCC) on Jan 13-24, 2003, and Tactical Safety and Planning on Dec 7-11, 2009, successfully utilized his training and contacts to arrest a notorious drug dealer in Thailand. 

Highlights from his success story:

On July 5, 2022, officers from the Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) of the Royal Thai Police (RTP) deployed an undercover operation known as “Operation Sayob Pairee 65/14”, where they searched a house in Klongsamwa area, belonging to Mr. Thanakit aka "Jojo Meenburi".

Pol. Maj. Gen. Pornpitak Ruyuenyong, Commander of Division 1, NSB revealed that “Operation Sayob Pairee 65/14” was successfully deployed and resulted in the arrest of Jojo Meenburi.  The operation took more than 5 years of combined investigative work and resulted in the successful arrest of Jojo Meenburi “drug dealer”.  In 2018, Jojo Meenburi,  smuggled metamphetamine from Northern part of Thailand to Bangkok and its peripheral areas.  Thanks to the NSB Officers hard work, Jojo Meenburi’s drug network, worth 50 million Baht, was interrupted, and Jojo Meenburi’s gang was captured together with 2,0000 MET.

After the investigation, Jojo Meenburi confessed that all his assets were obtained from laundered money, related to selling drugs. The NSB successfully seized and confiscated his assets.
