Pengiran Noor Faridahwati Bte Psm Pg Anak Omar Allia (PSM)

Pengiran Noor Faridahwati Bte Psm Pg Anak Omar Allia (PSM), a three-time ILEA Bangkok alumna from Brunei, recently reported that the courses she attended “endowed her with leadership qualities and led her to become a capable leader for her investigation team.”  

She noted that the training had a very positive impact on her career.  One example PSM provided: she used the skills she learned at the arson and crime scene courses to successfully lead her first complex investigation into a murder, theft, and arson case.  PSM used ILEA-taught skills to prepare a report that detailed the evidence from the fire, which was admitted into evidence at trial and helped in the successful prosecution of the suspect.  The presiding judge singled out PSM’s report for praise.  PSM also now regularly conducts lectures and refresher courses for her fellow officers to pass along the skills learned at the ILEA.

Finally, PSM has also partnered with the private sector and other parts of the government of Brunei on the hazards of improper installation and maintenance of electrical and gas appliances.
