ILEA Bangkok initiated the 2022 training with the 2-week Virtual Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation - Executive Policy and Development Symposium on Transnational Organized Crime from January 10-20, 2022, with 36 participants who are senior-level investigators, judges, and prosecutors from 8 subscribing countries.
This virtual symposium, with the collaboration of ILEA Roswell, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), U.S. Department of Justice's Child Exploitation & Obscenity Section (CEOS), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), focused on building a comprehensive response model for combating trafficking in persons and online child exploitation. The online symposium also highlighted a victim-centered approach, best practices for victim cooperation as cases progress from investigation to prosecution, and the recent technologies to investigate and prosecute human trafficking and child exploitation cases.
The participants were able to exchange their information and experience from their cases through group discussions and Q&A sessions with other participants and human trafficking experts.
