ILEA Bangkok, in coordination with Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), initiated the first virtual Leadership for Women in Law Enforcement on August 3-6, 2021, with 44 participants who are female law enforcement officers from 10 ILEA subscribing countries.
The 4-day virtual training highlighted female leader empowerment and inspiration, work life balance, and current challenges female leaders are facing in their duties. The training was open for the participants to speak up, share their experiences, constructive ideas, and beneficial information to other female law enforcement officers in the region.
ILEA Bangkok also invited Mrs. Intranee Sumawong, Senior Public Prosecutor, Department of Tax Litigation, Office of the Attorney General of Thailand, Assistant Superintendent of Police Yap Siew Cheng, Senior Criminal Investigative Officer of Criminal Investigation Division, District Police Headquarters Ipoh Perak of Malaysia, and Ms. Charisse A. Galarrita-Bitoon, Deputy City Prosecutor, Office of the City Prosecutor, Cagayan de Oro City of the Philippines, to panel discussion session to deliver and share their experience as their career progressed and approaches to handle these challenges.
