ILEA Bangkok and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) hosted the virtual Narcotics Investigations course, September 21-23, 2021, with 27 participants from Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, and Timor-Leste.
This virtual course was designed specifically for investigators to enhance their capabilities to disrupt and dismantle drug trafficking organizations and assist them to develop investigations by applying methods and strategies taught by DEA instructors. The participants were able to explore useful topics to be implemented in their investigations such as interviewing techniques, undercover operations, surveillance, and raid planning.
During the course, the participants also learned from DEA instructors as they shared their valuable narcotics investigation experience from the U.S. and different regions around the globe and highlighted the importance of international cooperation to combat transnational crime.
