On June 6, 2022, ILEA Bangkok was honored to host Assistant Secretary of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL). During the visit he met with former ILEA Thai Executive Directors Police General Visanu Prasattongosoth, Senior Inspector General of the Royal Thai Police, and Police Major General Krisda Kanchana-alongkorn, Deputy Commissioner of Immigration Bureau. Assistant Secretary Robinson was also received by current ILEA Directors Andrew Cunney and Police Major General Kasemsunti Yoosooksomboon.
Assistant Secretary Robinson highlighted the long-lasting bond of partnership and close cooperation in law enforcement between the Royal Thai Police and the U.S. Government. The ILEA Directors provided Assistant Secretary Robinson and distinguished guests with an overview of the ILEA facilities, one in Bangkok and the other, a Tactical Training Center in Cha-Am. Additionally, the ILEA Directors provided the group with a tour of the ILEA Bangkok facility and discussed the current work structure, the training courses, achievements over the past years, the future organizational plan, and ILEA’s positive effect on regional and global law enforcement and how ILEA fosters international cooperation among agencies long after training is completed.
