On February 23, 2024, Director Efren Buenrostro Jr. and Police Major General Punvipa Rohitopakara, Executive Director, warmly received delegates from Thailand’s Ministry of Interior, Investigation and Legal Affairs Bureau, at the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) in Bangkok. Among the distinguished delegates were Director Ratawit Jitsujaritwong, Criminal Investigation Division; Chief Apirapa Luang-wilai, Criminal Justice Procedure Section; Chief Pratchaya Mengchuay, Prevention and Suppression of Torture Section; Chief Khanittha Thawonworakul, Criminal Investigation Group Eight; and Chief Sumitr Ketasit, Criminal Investigation Group Four.
The meeting proved highly productive, covering various critical topics such as human trafficking and identity theft. Importantly, discussions also revolved around fostering future collaboration, participation, and attendance in ILEA training courses. This commitment to ongoing cooperation underscores ILEA's dedication to promoting collaboration and cooperation with Thailand’s government agencies in combating transnational criminal organizations and crime. Such collaborative efforts play a crucial role in enhancing regional security and law enforcement effectiveness.
