ILEA Bangkok in collaboration with Diplomatic Security Services (DSS) conducted a one-week course of Overseas Protective Operations. The course was designed to introduce law enforcement personnel to protective security and DSS protective security operations.
Classes included a historical perspective of protective security, an introduction to the fundamentals of protection and practical exercises. During the course, participants were taught techniques used by DSS Special Agents to protect dignitaries, including advance planning, walking formations, motorcade operations.
Upon completion of the course, 40 participants from our subscribing members were able to conduct advances, arrivals, and departures, perform concentric rings of security and techniques in providing protection during fence line operations and an attack on a principle as well as Motorcade Operations.
