Chemical Diversion Investigations : Session 2

On October 20, 2023, at ILEA Bangkok, we successfully concluded Session 2 of the Chemical Diversion Investigations program. This collaborative effort brought together the expertise of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the International Enforcement Academy (ILEA) in Bangkok. A total of 32 dedicated individuals from Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam participated in this course.

Throughout the course, participants were equipped with a comprehensive set of skills, including the management of extremely hazardous enterprises, the application of techniques for responding to incidents, and the ability to safely access and process clandestine laboratories. Additionally, participants learned how to use self-contained breathing apparatus and air monitoring devices, vital tools for ensuring their safety in challenging environments.

As a culmination of this intensive training, participants were provided with the essential tools and accessories needed for accessing clandestine labs. This initiative represents a significant step forward in enhancing the capabilities and preparedness of law enforcement professionals in our region.
