Emerging Trends in Illicit Synthetic Drug and Production Techniques: Session 1

On December 9, 2022, 31 participants from eight (8) subscribing countries completed the Emerging Trends in Illicit Synthetic Drug and Production Techniques: Session 1 course. The training was provided through a collaboration between ILEA Bangkok and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The one-week technical course provided forensic information on the most current trends in synthetic drugs and emerging illicit drug production techniques around the world.  The course included drug production, using clandestine drug laboratories, utilizing new production methods, and novel drug precursors. Additionally, the class went over the identification, production, analysis, and legal approaches to control newer drugs and their analogs.
