Narcotic Investigations Course : Session 8

The International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) Bangkok and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) conducted an intensive two-week Narcotics Investigations training session 8 from September 11 to September 22, 2023. This specialized program provided 26 law enforcement officers with essential knowledge and skills to identify drug traffickers and initiate and develop robust investigations.

This training covered core topics critical for effective narcotics investigations. These included drug identification, case initiation and development, surveillance techniques, confidential source management, interviewing and interrogation methods, report writing best practices, and operational planning strategies.

In addition to these core components, participants had the opportunity to delve into elective topics such as basic undercover operations, asset identification, clandestine laboratory safety protocols, emergency first aid training, handcuffing techniques, officer safety and survival tactics, and raid planning exercises with a focus on tactical training.
